About SiteMatchup
One card, five rounds, every bout judged the same way. Here is who does the judging, and how the site pays for itself.
SiteMatchup exists because most website builder comparisons are unfalsifiable. They rank, they gush, they hedge, and nothing in them can be checked. This site does one thing instead: it puts two builders in a ring, scores five rounds, and shows the card.
It is run by a small independent editorial team who have spent years building and maintaining sites on these platforms — client work, side projects, and the unglamorous business of migrating somebody off a builder that stopped suiting them. That last part shapes the coverage more than anything else. Portability and support get graded seriously here because they are what actually hurt, years after the decision.
The consistency promise
Every fighter is judged on the same five rounds — Ease, Design, Value, Power and Support — scored 0 to 10, with the overall as the unweighted mean to one decimal. The card never changes between bouts, and a builder's score is identical whether it appears in a profile or in the opposing corner of somebody else's matchup. That is the whole promise. It is what makes a 7.7 on one page mean the same thing as a 7.7 on the next. The method is published in full on the scoring page, including what triggers a rescore, so you can audit any number here rather than take it on trust.
Independence
No builder on this site has paid for a placement, previewed a draft, or been given the chance to respond to a score before it went live. No sponsored posts, no paid links, no editorial input from vendors. Scores are set from the evidence before the rest of a page is written, and a bout that reflects badly on a platform we earn commission from gets published exactly as scored — the lowest overall on the card belongs to a product nobody is paid to recommend.
Corrections are treated as a feature. Pricing on these platforms moved repeatedly through 2026, and anything found to be wrong is fixed, dated and left visible rather than quietly deleted.
How the site is funded
Affiliate commission. If you sign up to a builder through a link here, we may earn a fee at no extra cost to you. It never changes a score, a round, or a decision, and it does not buy a mention. The full terms — which programmes, what they pay for, and what we do not accept — are set out in the affiliate disclosure.
Get in touch
Spotted a price that has moved, a plan limit that has changed, or a matchup that should be on the card? Send it over via the contact page. Corrections with a source attached get looked at first, and requests for bouts between builders already scored here are the quickest to schedule.
