How this site earns money, and the specific ways that money is kept away from the scorecards.

Some of the outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and later sign up for a paid plan, we may earn a commission. You never pay more because of it — the price you see is the price you would have paid arriving directly.

Not Every Corner Pays Us

Several of the platforms that appear on this card pay us nothing at all. Some run no programme we take part in; others show up purely as an opposing corner in a bout, because comparing two builders honestly means covering one we have no commercial relationship with. At least one matchup here is won outright by a platform we earn no commission from. If commissions were steering the decisions, that could not happen. It happens more than once.

Commission Is Not One Of The Five Rounds

Every bout is judged on five axes: ease, design, value, power and support. Commission rate is not a sixth axis, not a tiebreaker, and not a thumb resting on the scale — the full scoring method is published so you can check the arithmetic yourself. The order of work matters here: scores are set from researched facts first, and partner links are attached afterwards to whichever names happen to appear. Never the other way round.

Every commercial link on this site is written as a /go/ address followed by the platform's name, and each one is marked as sponsored in the page's markup so search engines and readers can both see what it is. The address redirects to the platform, carrying whatever tracking the relevant programme uses.

There is an editorial reason for that structure, not just a technical one. Because every partner link lives in one list, changing a commercial arrangement changes one line in one file — never the wording of a review or the number in a verdict box. You can also see, before clicking, which links on a page are the commercial ones.

What We Will Not Do For Money

We do not publish invented testimonials, fabricated hands-on measurements, or a recommendation we would not give a friend over a drink. Weaknesses get named for every fighter regardless of who pays: lock-in, renewal pricing, missing exports, weekday-only support and learning curves are reported the same way across the card. The cons list on a platform that pays us is often the longest thing on the page.

Ask Us

If you want to know whether a specific link earns us anything, ask and we will tell you straight: [email protected]. And if you would rather not send a commission our way, type the builder's address into your browser directly. The scorecard reads the same either way.
