Two builders. Five rounds. One decision.

Every website builder matchup on this site is judged on the same five-round card, so a result here means something next to every other result here. The tale of the tape is published before the verdict, not after it.

Tonight’s card

Full card →

Most website builder comparisons are written one at a time, by whoever had a spare afternoon, against whatever criteria suited the conclusion. Read three of them and you cannot stack the results, because no two used the same measuring stick. This site exists to fix that narrow problem: one card, five rounds, applied identically to every bout.

How a bout works

Two builders are scored out of ten on ease, design, value, power and support. Those five numbers are published at the top of the page as the tale of the tape, before a word of argument. The overall is their mean, so you can recompute it yourself and catch us if the prose and the arithmetic ever disagree. The scoring page explains what each round measures and where the evidence comes from.

Sometimes the card comes back level. Two bouts here are genuine draws, and we say so rather than nudging a number to manufacture a winner. A draw is a real result: it means the choice belongs to your circumstances, not to the platforms.

What gets reviewed, and what only fights

Five builders carry full profiles here — Squarespace, Webflow, Weebly, Create.net and Duda — and you can read them all on the reviews index. Others appear only in the opposite corner of a bout, where a comparison-level account of them is exactly what the page needs. The whole card lives on the matchups page.

Independence, and how this site earns

We are not owned by, partnered with or briefed by any builder on the card. Some outbound links earn a commission at no cost to you, several fighters here pay nothing at all, and commission rates are not one of the five rounds. The full disclosure sets out the terms.

Where to start

If you are choosing between a template and a canvas, start with Squarespace against Webflow — the two share a design ceiling and split on who does the building. If you are on Weebly and have heard something is happening, read Weebly against Wix for the dates that actually apply to your market. Or take everything on the card in one list and browse.

After the bell

Squarespace vs Webflow — which wins?
Squarespace takes it for most people on ease and speed to launch; Webflow wins for designers who need pixel control and are willing to climb its learning curve. Our tale-of-the-tape scores the bout round by round.
How are the matchups scored?
Every bout is judged on the same five-round card, and the tale of the tape is published before the verdict, not reverse-engineered after it. That shared card is what lets a result here mean something next to every other result.
Wix vs Squarespace — who takes it?
It is one of our closest bouts: Wix on flexibility and features, Squarespace on design polish. The scorecard shows exactly which rounds each one wins so you can pick on the criteria you care about.
Which website builder wins the most matchups?
No builder sweeps the card — the point of judging every bout on the same five rounds is that strengths are specific. Browse the full card to see who wins on the axis that matters to you.
Webflow vs Framer for a designer?
Our closest bout on the whole card: Webflow for structured, CMS-driven sites, Framer for fast, animation-rich design work. The five-round breakdown is where the tie gets broken.
