Privacy Policy

This is a publishing site, not a service that holds accounts, so the amount of personal data involved is small by design. Here is all of it, in plain language.

Email, If You Choose To Give It

The only personal information we actively collect is an email address, and only when you hand it over by writing to us. We use it for exactly what you asked for: replying to your message. This site runs no mailing list and carries no signup field, so there is nothing here to subscribe to and nothing to unsubscribe from. We do not add you to anything you did not choose.

Analytics

Two scorekeepers watch the traffic. Cloudflare Web Analytics, from the network that serves the site, keeps cookieless totals. Google Analytics 4, from Google LLC (Google Ireland Ltd. in Europe), logs the pages you view, the site that sent you, your approximate city and country, your device and browser type, and how long the visit lasts.

GA4 does not log or store IP addresses. Its advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are all switched off, so none of it is used for advertising, and none of it is sold. We read the results as trends, not as individuals; GA4 knows a browser only by a random ID, never by name. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not assemble advertising audiences from your visits.

Before the bell: if your device's time zone puts you in Europe (EEA, UK or Switzerland), a banner asks first, and nothing goes to Google unless you hit Accept. Everywhere else analytics starts switched on, and you can switch it off at any point. A Global Privacy Control signal from your browser counts as a no. Your call is stored in local storage as analytics-consent, not in a cookie, and cookie settings reopens the banner whenever you want a rematch. Google's privacy policy covers its side, and its Google Analytics opt-out add-on blocks GA on every site.

We Do Not Sell Anything About You

Your email address and your reading on this site are never sold, rented or traded. No data brokers, no list swaps, no advertising networks buying access to our audience. The site is funded by affiliate commissions instead, which are explained in full on our affiliate disclosure page.

Cookies

Our own cookies are the two Google Analytics ones, _ga and _ga_<ID>. They last up to two years, appear only after analytics is allowed, and are deleted if you decline later. There is a second case worth naming. When you follow a partner link, the platform at the other end may set its own cookie so that a later signup is credited to us. That cookie belongs to them and is governed by their policy, not this one.

Your browser can block or clear cookies whenever you like. The site still works without them; we simply lose some of the counting.

Links That Leave This Site

The moment you follow a link to a website builder or an external source, that destination's privacy policy takes over and ours stops applying. We have no control over what they collect or how long they keep it. If you are about to create an account somewhere, their policy is the one worth reading.

Your Data, Your Requests

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will act on it. Requests are answered within 30 days and usually far sooner. Because we hold so little, deletion is normally a matter of deleting the message you sent us.

Changes To This Policy

If anything here changes materially, we update this page rather than quietly changing practice. The version published here is the one that applies; it was last updated on October 9, 2026.
